About

From Mommard's edition of Dürer's series 'The Little Passion.' Hollstein notes Mommard's edition is 'very deceptive'. In 'Pilate washing his hands' the copy is decernible by the fine shadow lines that extend down to the cap of the man behind Christ on the right column (Hollstein VII: p 124).
