Medworth produced a sizeable oeuvre of wood engravings, many of which are in the Gallery’s collection. While in England he exhibited his work with the English Wood Engraving Society, established by Edward Gordon Craig in 1925 for artists who were
not interested in book illustration, but rather wanted to make wood engravings that were independent of such an illustrative
function; the group exhibited until 1931.
