About
This photograph is of snow-covered, low-rise buildings with mountains in the background. The name of the photographer, 'Bremner', is written on the trunk of the tree that dominates the right side of the image. Fred Bremner was a British photographer who worked at a number of photographic studios in different cities around India from 1883 to 1923. He published two volumes of photographs – 'Types of the Indian Army' (1905) and 'Baluchistan Illustrated 1900' (1905). He is best known for his work in Baluchistan and Sindh (present-day Pakistan), areas that were rarely photographed.
