" Flesh is always inclined to fall away from the bones when the form is in a position other than the erect; and this may be observed even in slim subjects. Indications of this may be seen in Diagram 168, where the bones of the head, the thoracic arch, and the wrist articulations complement the falling flesh of the upper arms accommodated on the mattress, the flattening of the breasts, and the engaged line on the inner side of the left thigh."Australian Art Department, AGNSW, August 2001
