About
The title of this painting suggests both the way it was painted by the artist, and by extension, the way is should be viewed. ‘Circumvision’ was Cassab’s word for describing how she viewed her landscape subject from 360 degrees, as if she was revolving in the centre of a circle. This all-encompassing vision was then rendered on the flat plane of the canvas and thus becoming abstracted in the process.
