About
[This] dish is an example of Chinese porcelain made at Jingdezhen, transported to Nanjing, then to Canton for shipment to England. The ware was extremely popular, often known by the name Nankin ware. The piece was decorated at Jingdezhen, but the gilding would have been added in England.
