  • About

Peart's work first came to national prominence in the NGV's 1968 exhibition 'The Field'. He has exhibited in Sydney and further afield since he arrived here in the mid 1960s, and was a friend and contemporary of David Aspden and Michael Johnson, among others. Peart spent five years in the UK and USA in the early 1970s, and now lives and works at Wedderburn, near Campbelltown; his work was the subject of a retrospective there in 2005/06. This delicate monotype was made in collaboration with master printer Diana Davidson at the Whaling Road Print Studio, North Sydney and are part of a larger body of monotypes upon which he worked intensively over several years with Davidson and James Whitington, another master printer.
