About
Harry Rosengrave, painter and printmaker started making prints from the early 1950s after studying printmaking at RMIT with Harold Freeman and was very active in exhibiting his work with other pioneering printmakers of the period with the ‘Melbourne Graphic Artists’ group (which later merged into the Print Council of Australia). He was known for his use of colour; this print was made in two editions, the first of 30 and the second (from which this impression comes) of 10, in which he varied his colour palette.
