Inside the archives of Andy Warhol, Max Dupain and Frank Hinder
Andy Warhol was a prolific collector. Hundreds of thousands of his objects including press cuttings, art materials, audio tapes, posters, documentary photographs and even time capsules are held by the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
Hear from Erin Byrne, archivist from the Andy Warhol Museum, on the archival material displayed in the upcoming exhibition Adman: Warhol before pop and the workings behind the scenes to preserve and exhibit such a collection.
Then Steven Miller from the Art Gallery of NSW library and archive provides an insight into the Gallery’s own holdings of artist archives, including those of celebrated Australian artists Max Dupain and Frank Hinder.
