Riet Wijnen: performative reading

Part of the 21st Biennale of Sydney

As part of her presentation at the 21st Biennale of Sydney, Riet Wijnen will conduct a performative reading. The script is derived from the artist’s alternative biographies, Marlow Moss (2013) and Grace Crowley (2018), and the fictional conversation she has staged between the two artists titled Conversation Sixteen (2018) – the latter two developed specially for the Biennale. Focusing on the construction of history and the process of its making, the reading will take place against the backdrop of Crowley’s paintings.
