Poetic Tour CANCELLED
In collaboration with Red Room Poetry
Join a special before-hours tour of Shadow catchers with curator Isobel Parker Philip and six poets who have responded creatively to this exhibition of photographs and moving image from the Gallery’s collection.
Adopting the mirror as a metaphoric device and the echo as a visual conceit, Shadow catchers offers a playful portrait of photographic doubling. Explore the exhibition, hear the poems performed live and learn about the artwork.
Co-produced by the Art Gallery of NSW and Red Room Poetry.
The Art Gallery of New South Wales and Red Room Poetry regret to announce that the Poetic Reflections performance scheduled for Wednesday 29 April and the Poetic tour of the Gallery’s Shadow Catchers exhibition on 30 April are cancelled due to COVID-19-related social distancing measures. However, we are pleased to say that the poetic commissions and ’share your poem’ competition will proceed, with the Gallery and Red Room devising an online presence for this exciting new literary work. Stay tuned for further announcements.
