Performances: A shape of thought
Artists respond to Mikala Dwyer's work
Performance has been an important facet of Mikala Dwyer’s practice since she was a student. To mark the end of Mikala Dwyer: a shape of thought, the artist has invited long-time collaborators to devise live responses to the exhibition.
Performer and tap dancer Phoebe Heath will collaborate with artist Katie Louise Williams, responding to and translating each of the objects in the installation The Divisions and the Subtractions into a tap and movement piece.
Anny Mokotow will use performance and text to ‘slip through thought’ in the circular interior space of The Divisions and the Subtractions.
Over the same weekend, Lonnol Doilsn, Suzy Faiz, Tom Isaacs, Anny Mokotow, Katie Williams, Adrian de Georgio and David Corben will animate the exhibition space, channeling Dwyer’s enduring interest in the occult aspects of matter, in a performance devised by Lonool Dollsn.
