Make your own zine

Free activity for all ages during Gallery opening hours

A zine (pronounced zeen) is a unique self-published booklet filled with ideas, words and images. Anyone can make a zine, and they can be about absolutely anything.

Acclaimed Indonesian artist Eko Nugroho has been publishing zines since 2000 to provide an alternative, accessible platform for young artists and students to share their work. A selection of these are on display alongside his immersive installation Lot lost in the contemporary galleries.

Drop into the exhibition’s family activity area where you can help yourself to pencils, printouts and instructions for making your zine during your visit.

On Sunday 23 October 2016 from 11am to 1pm, artist Eko Nugroho and Gallery staff will be on-hand to provide instruction, inspiration and additional collage materials.
