Live music: Miriam Lieberman
Our resident musician this August
Miriam Lieberman is a singer songwriter with a unique perspective. She accompanies her powerful vocals with the kora (a 21-string West African harp) as well as acoustic guitar. Her music seamlessly blends African influences with blues-and-folk-infused melodies.
Featuring songs from her new album Birds of the moon, Miriam’s music travels in mood from the sinister beauty of the Indian city of Varanasi to a Mexican love story to the bright hope of dawn. Miriam will be joined by her long-time musical collaborator Kate Adams on vocal harmonies and cello. Expect soaring string arrangements and rich vocal harmonies.
