Alternative pop with dark wave and soul influences

In a special Art After Hours performance, KYVA takes to the stage with songs from his debut EP.

KYVA is the solo project of Sydney based artist Kyle Linahan. Crafting a delicate balance of alternative pop influenced by the likes of The Cure, Prince and Elliot Smith, KYVA embodies a union of worlds: drawing equally from spheres of dark wave and soul to create something entirely new and sonically beautiful.

With his debut single due for release later this month, KYVA’s first works have been co-written with Sam Lockwood and Heather Shannon of The Jezabels, with Lockwood also producing the EP (with co-production on the track ‘Dollar Sign’ from Alister Wright of Cloud Control). KYVA is also one third of Sydney cosmic funk trio The Goods and is well known on the Sydney music scene, previously performing backing vocals for Taku, Wafia, Ngaiire and alongside Adele on her 2017 Australian tour.
