A rising star of jazz and blues

Singer and pianist, Frances Madden, captivates her audiences with a unique voice and style combined with a genuinely warm stage presence. An original and talented songwriter, Frances’ own jazz-oriented music merges seamlessly with the timeless classics she covers.

Having headlined the renowned JZ Club in Shanghai, Frances has also supported leading international artists visiting Australia such as the legendary Dionne Warwick and Grammy Award winner Gregory Porter. She has performed at major festivals around the country including Wangaratta Jazz and Sydney International Women’s Jazz festival and is a regular at Foundry616 in Sydney, Birds Basement and the Paris Cat in Melbourne. Frances will release her second studio album in early 2019, produced by ARIA-Award winning producer Chong Lim AM.

In celebration of the exhibition Brett Whiteley: drawing is everything, Frances will bring her trio to Art After Hours to perform a mix of her original music and classic jazz covers.
