Live music: Broken Mountain

Inspired by experimental production and raw textures

Broken Mountain pose a beautiful dilemma – how do you describe a musical collective that defies genre, that is equal parts experimental and approachable?

Listening to Broken Mountain is a trip through a dystopian paradise that combines the impressive and diverse musical talents of Andrew Bruce (vocalist/keyboard), Brendan Clark (bass), and Nicholas Meredith (drums). Having first met at music school, Andrew, Brendan and Nicholas bonded over a mutual passion for music. With such distinct individual sounds, each member went on to explore their individual talents locally and abroad, before uniting in Sydney in 2015 to form Broken Mountain. Born out of this eclectic musical juggernaut is a unique sound and experience that is reminiscent of The Knife, James Blake, Bjork and Dirty Projectors.

Inspired by experimental production, ambient music, and raw textures, the Broken Mountain experience is one for all the senses and will stay with you long after the music fades.
