Kade Mcdonald, executive director of Durrmu Arts Aboriginal Corporation and former coordinator for Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Arts and Cultural Centre, will discuss Noŋgirrŋa Marawili’s return to Baraltjala, a sacred cove for the Madarrpa people of Blue Mud Bay, and the place it holds in her art practice.

Cara Pinchbeck, senior curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, AGNSW and the curator of Noŋgirrŋa Marawili: from my heart and mind will discuss Marawili’s recent art practice, particularly her exploration of the atmospherics of place and the intersection between the sacred and the secular.
