Eco-dyeing with India Flint

Learn the art of shibori

Textile artist and author India Flint is a pioneer in ecologically sustainable plant dyeing techniques.

She works with cloth, paper, felt, weaving, stitch and bio-regionally gathered, ecologically sustainable dyes as a means of mapping country and making sense of the world.

Join India for an informed talk on eco-dyeing and the art of shibori (a Japanese term for describing a method of resist dyeing that includes stitching, clamping and binding techniques).

Let her guide you step by step in making your own unique silk scarf using shibori and the surprisingly versatile and sustainable dye source of onion skins.

Price includes all materials and your own scarf to take home.
