Digital selfie snaps CANCELLED
Portrait photography workshop
Join artist Emma Thomson to explore the world of photography through portraits.
Emma’s work focuses on how photo-sharing influences the way we all perform in front of the camera. With photography more accessible to a larger audience – notably through online platforms – we are increasingly living in the age of the ‘selfie’. Today it is more common for a photograph to be self-constructed, allowing us to be both the subject and director. Do we perform in photographs for the gaze of others?
Learn the basics of digital photography from Emma, before being guided around the Gallery to compose images featuring yourself and others.
All materials provided and all skill levels welcome. Bring your own smartphone, iPad or digital camera.
Note: We’ve had to cancel this workshop. We apologise for any inconvenience.
