Arts Engagement for Liveable Communities

Hear and experience the latest development in arts engagement for people living with dementia and their carers

Since 2009 the Art Gallery of NSW has been offering world-class arts access programs for people living with dementia and their carers. Now in collaboration with researchers from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and with the support of NSW Department of Family and Community Services the programs are being made accessible to more people than ever before.

A team from AGNSW and UTS are exploring how these highly effective programs can be operated in the community, are developing resources for community centres, residential facilities, and regional and local galleries, and are carrying out research in relation to the impact of these programs on wellbeing.

You will have the opportunity to listen to the latest developments from a range of speakers, see the arts engagement and art making activities in action, have ‘hands on’ access to the resources.

Coffee and tea will be served during the session.

Part of NSW Seniors Festival.
