Art in mind 2019
A mindful art experience for everyone
“An intimate and completely non-intimidating way to engage with art.”
Sometimes you just need to slow down—especially when you’re looking at art. Most people spend only around 15-30 seconds looking at an artwork, often feeling intimidated or confused by what they see. If you find yourself rushing through life—and baffled by your encounters with artworks—then Art in mind is the experience for you.
Art in mind is a unique, mindfulness-based approach to looking at art. Led by mindfulness facilitators Steve Pozel and Vanessa Lansdown, you’ll be guided through a meditative process of contemplating what you see, relaxing the mind and body and bringing about a fresh perspective and stimulating new insights.
Sessions are intimate and exclusive. Sharing the space with only 14 other participants, you’ll spend time with artworks in a peaceful environment before the Gallery doors open to the public. No prior experience with art appreciation or with mindfulness is required.
“A fantastic, accessible gallery experience. Very well-run – informative, interesting and fun. A real eye-opener.”
After the viewing, enjoy sharing your mindful experience with other participants over a fragrant cup of herbal tea in the Gallery cafe.
