The Sydney Modern Project is creating a prominent destination for the Art Gallery of NSW’s internationally renowned collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.
The first gallery space that visitors encounter will showcase Indigenous Australian art and culture. It will feature a glazed loggia – a space for art and learning – with views towards our existing building through a new public art garden.
As we bring to life our ambitious vision for the future, the Gallery is guided by an Indigenous Advisory Group.
