Get out the headphones – this atmospheric journey is for listening loud. Exploring ‘The tongue in the middle of the port’, an immense mixed media work by American artist Mark Bradford, Australian duo Sumn Conduit create a densely layered improvised sound-work for voice and electronics. In this excerpt from the original longer piece, musicians Sonya Holowell and Ben Carey move across the artwork, navigating the clusters of lines and dots to respond, together and apart simultaneously, using the artwork as a graphic score.
