Rebekah Lee The claustrophobia of dermatitis (seasonal desert)

My body of work uses the intricate practice of printmaking to explore the surface of the skin as a flawed representation for the deeper landscape of our bodies. Through the contrast of macro and micro scales, my intent is for this fragile duality to express our interaction with external landscapes, questioning how our perception taints elements of reality. This is made personal by my experiences with dermatitis, where I have observed that my skin continuously changes over time, like a changing landscape in times of drought and fertility.
