Integument: a covering; skin, shell, rind. My body of work explores the emotions expressed throughout our lives. From happiness, depression may overtake us, but eventually we find someone or something that allows us to be whole again. I decided to fall under the influence of mystery and used the female figure to represent a sense of story throughout the work. I started off with a strong concept but was unable to make it a reality. Over time I allowed myself to break open my shell and express the misery and happiness that we experience in life.
