Through a strip of film and the world that comes to be inscribed upon it, my body of work opens up the conceptual and material possibilities of photography. I have represented the movement of my body as it interacts with the world, with the intent of provoking the audience to question how we document our lives. Inspired by the movement of abstract expressionism, I have created a highly pictorial statement. This work asks the audience to question how they interact with colour and form on film and to observe the emotional, mental, psychological and spiritual feelings that arise.
