Lucy Kellaway Fragile species

My body of work reflects the degradation of the natural environment in Australia. The concept of the environment as ephemeral inspired my work; the depictions of trees and interspersed birds connote fragility and delicacy. The symbiotic relationship between people and the landscape is also a discussion point, fuelled by my passion for the conservation of the natural world. The work alludes to human reliance on the environment and, in turn, our cultivation of nature.
