The bicycle is a very curious thing. It forms a perfect unity between the person and the machine, yet it positions the rider against the challenge of nature in a most humbling, intimate and personal manner: something that is foreign in the everyday. Cycling is to create, enjoy, suffer, meditate, fail, conquer and grow. For myself and many others, the bicycle has become a wonderful manifestation of freedom and personal discovery.
