How irrigating simply explores shape and form; not a social or political concern. Its lack of symmetry and colour unity merely emphasises the individuality of each of the hose parts. Due to my interest in gardening I sought to discover the unique shape, texture and use of each piece of hose and irrigation. In this sculpture I wanted to glorify the real attributes of these items that are often overlooked and lie valueless in home gardens. Using characteristics of assemblage art I present the hose fittings as a form of abstract beauty.
