A simple work yet it holds great meaning. Through my artworks I wanted to raise the issue of society’s discrimination against epileptics throughout history, using my own personal experience. In the past epileptics were called demons or thought to be possessed, and in the present are thought of as mentally retarded or having psychological problems. Due to these beliefs people with epilepsy were always isolated and thought badly of. My work went through many trials but I finally found a practice that suited me and allowed me to express a greater in-depth meaning through its simple design.
