My work is inspired by the untold experiences and thoughts people carry with them every day. Strands of hair parallel how our minds are an intricate network of connecting thoughts, each individually important yet necessary to create the whole. Found images, as well as hand-drawn representations, mirror our thoughts as both constructs of experiences that were mere flashes of colour/shape or uniquely detailed replicas of what we see and have seen. The mere suggestion of faces reflects what is revealed ‘at face value’ and the hair represents the complexities and enigma of what is unable to be seen.
