When first thinking about my work, I immediately thought to explore a personal experience. Living in a terrace house, I became attached to the idea of representing this iconic form. The repetitive nature of terrace houses creates a distinct neighbourhood without sacrificing the freedom of creativity that stems from individualism. Using printmaking to act as a ‘base’ for my works, I added gouache to express the personal, illustrating multiplicity within commonality.
