Elida Guntan Cautionary tales

My work encourages us to look at familiar things in different ways. It’s about exploring inwards, examining your existing assumptions – hoping for some sort of revelation. Curiosity seeks us to step into new worlds, scary and unique. Inspired by scenes from horror movies, black-and-white imagery offers a haunted, dark feeling in a mysterious and illusory way. I encourage the audience to find adventure in a derelict universe full of silence, rust, shadows that may have once held laughter, love, pain, loss – to look at the lonely house and only imagine what it used to be.
