Maya Le Bransky Dancing with the devil

Inspired by the Amish belief in dance as a satanic pursuit, my work explores the concept of dancing with the devil. By combining the Amish perception of dance as a distraction from their normal agrarian lifestyle and rhythm of life, with the Western notion of dance as a form of escapism, I wish to depict dance as a channel of self-expression.
