My heart wanders explores the innate human need for a place that feels like ‘home’. In evoking a sense of nostalgia and longing for this ‘place’, the work expresses the somewhat melancholic feeling of incompleteness that this everlasting inner journey leaves us with. The pen, stitching and box board sculpture depicts a myriad of houses covered in intricate patterns. Appreciating the beauty of the mundane and everyday that is seen in these dwellings is seemingly obsolete in our rapidly evolving society.
