Lochlan Macpherson Alter ego

Alter ego is a non-traditional documented form in which I have explored the different emotional states of a Year 12 student. To depict this I have used symbolism through imagery, colour and relevant quotes painted onto different surfaces of an abandoned house. I was inspired by the way Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring brought art out of the galleries and into public places.
Whilst painting, my work was photographed every ten seconds which was edited into a time-lapse film. Once complete, the building was demolished, leaving this film as the only evidence of my artwork. Audiences have the opportunity to witness the artist at work; therefore I have successfully challenged the traditional conventions of art.
