Liana Piccirilli Tailor made: portrait of a life
Tailor made: portrait of a life looks into the past and resultant present of my grandfather’s life as a migrant tailor. His collections of tailoring tools have been stored for decades in his workshop. Now as a body of work, his collections have been transformed into a portrait of his life. Attention to detail is represented through the intricacy and delicacy of drypoints, just as the collaged idea of memories is explored in the vest panels; a working progression, a portrait of life is tailor made.
