Nicole Hustler Fragile beauty

Work by Nicole Hustler

My work is an exploration of the beauty and fragility of the naked form. The female nude is translated through the emerging delicate lines within the prints, drawings, feathers and threads, all of which convey beauty. The prints are derived from my original ink drawings, all of which were drawn with sharply carved sticks to articulate the freedom and passion that beauty possesses. Lustrous silk fabric, an ideal of beauty, as well as white feathers, depicts the vulnerability of beauty. The threads underpin the fragile lines that construct the beautiful nude.
