Ashleigh Ng The burnt out ends of smoky days

Work by Ashleigh Ng

My artwork explores the way in which man alters and manipulates the environment, transforming it from that of the natural, to that of the built environment. In the process, other animals may be driven out or become extinct through destruction of natural landscape may become mere memory is reflected in the spray painted deer, which also links to the urban environment depicted in the background. The multiple canvasses provides not only an interesting almost sculptural piece, but was influenced by the work of artists such as Imants Tillers.
