Sarah Sharpe Above the dry river bed

Work by Sarah Sharpe

Doodling led me to experiment with collagraph printing. Inspired by everyday objects, shapes and patterns, a combination of random textures creates abstract aerial views of landscapes, on a base structure of string. Heavily textured chine colle paper breaks up the composition of the larger prints, creating a natural and earthy collage resembling the unusual patterns that surround us.
