Jonathan Sweet

 

Jonathan Sweet is a lecturer in the Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies programs at Deakin University, Melbourne. He is an art and design historian and museologist, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, London. He has worked in public programs at museums including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery. He has a long-standing interest in art gallery interpretation issues and was a presenter at Sites of Communication 1. Currently he is an investigator on two Australian Research Council funded projects, one of which is focused on issues of cross-cultural heritage interpretation in China and Australia. In 2004 he was Chair of the Museums Australia National Conference Program Committee.
