The Art Galley of New South Wales is home to an exciting collection of art, including permanent displays of Australian, European, Asian and contemporary art.

Of special interest to international visitors is our Yiribana Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Gallery. Tours can be combined with performances of Aboriginal dance and music and is an excellent introduction to the Indigenous art and culture of Australia.

Other tours can be arranged of our Asian collection or of 19th and 20 Century Australian art. Another fantastic tour of interest to visitors who would like a general overview of the Gallery is our 'Gallery Highlights tour' which takes in our Yiribana Gallery as well as 19th and 20th century Australian art.

Personal tours can also be arranged for our temporary exhibitions, such as the annual Archibald Prize. Please check our exhibitions calendar for dates.

Tours take 45 minutes to one hour and can be arranged for groups of any number. We allocate one guide per 25 people and can be arranged Tuesday - Sunday 9am - 4pm (until 6pm Wednesdays). 

You may also want to include morning or afternoon tea as part of your tour package. These are held in the Gallery Restaurant or Restaurant Function Space.
