This is Shirley. She is a close Christian sister of ours. I have seen her slowly age over the years, while in contrast she has seen me growing up. This scene is based on a photo taken of her in a nursing home, holding a picture portraying her younger self that I drew to cheer her up. She smiles happily, hopeful for a future in which individuals live without suffering or sickness. Her perseverance in enduring her current situation inspires me, reminding me to remain positive in the face of difficulty.
