I have depicted my dad. He is wearing a Sydney Swans hat and Balmain Tigers jersey. These items represent our relationship. Throughout the winter sports season, we always sit down – whether in front of the TV or at a stadium – and watch the AFL or rugby league. Car rides home are filled with thoughts on the previous game or predictions for future games. I painted my dad because I was also able to depict myself through him. He has introduced me to the world of sports, as well as how to enjoy a game from the comfort of an armchair.
