Cacia Charles 169 days

This is a portrait of my dad. The reason he looks worried and sad is because at the time he was. In 2021, my mum, sister and I got stuck in NSW during a COVID lockdown. This left my dad alone in Tasmania for 169 days. Every day we would FaceTime each other. He would tell us ‘all’s good’ and try to smile when we spoke. I could see that he was scared and missing us a lot. What a phone call would normally hide could not be hidden over FaceTime. I hope that we never have to do that again.
