Michael Muir Where secrets lie

oil on linen

137 x 167 cm

This painting is part of a body of work where I continue to explore my love for water, in particular the ocean, which in turn segues into memories of proximity to the sea. The work is based loosely on an area on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. However, colour and composition tend to take over, making the area a suggestion of place rather than a specific location.
