Hadyn Wilson and students of the Julian Ashton School Portrait of Paul Delprat
oil on canvas
214 x 175 cm
This work, also titled Portrait of Julian Ashton and Paul Delprat, was a group entry by Haydn Wilson and 20 students of the Julian Ashton School.
It was painted to honour Julian Ashton, the founder of the art school (who had died in 1942), and his great-grandson Paul Delprat, who was the school’s principal at that point.
Haydn Wilson has had various individual works included in the Gallery’s prize exhibitions.
