Keith Dalgleish ‘Van’

The subject of this portrait by Keith Dalgleish is fellow artist Margaret Myfanwy ‘Vanoo’ van Gapp, who is depicted in a wedding dress. The pair married in 1935.
Both artists studied at East Sydney Technical College (now the National Art School). Gapp worked as a designer of murals and pageant floats. Dalgleish worked primarily as a commercial artist.
