Art Gallery Society kids drawing prize 2013
Proudly sponsored by Faber-Castell, the third annual Art Gallery Society kids drawing prize was held again this year for members’ children.
In conjunction with the exhibition Sydney moderns: art for a new world, the theme of this year’s competition is My Sydney, encouraging children to explore landscape, both natural and urban.
Sydney has been a constant source of inspiration for artists. From its harbour shores, parks and rivers to the Harbour Bridge, city vistas and urban landscapes, the beauty and majesty of Sydney is irresistible. Whether you call Sydney home or a place to visit on holidays, we hope you will have fun exploring and being creative with Sydney’s magical landmarks, history and scenery.
There are four age categories: 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-16 years
Ken Done, Jenny Sages and Natalie Faber-Castell are our three judges, selecting one winner in each age category on merit.
Each winner receives a Faber-Castell prize pack and all participants in the competition receive a certificate of merit.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the young artists who entered this year’s prize and made it a great success. The winning works are on display in the members lounge.
